Introduction

Planning Scheme Amendment C282morn proposes to make changes to the existing Schedule 21 to the Design and Development Overlay (DDO21) and applies DDO21 to the commercial land at 141-149 Disney Street, Crib Point.

The amendment applies to commercial land of Crib Point at 182-210 Stony Point Road and 141-149 Disney Street.

The amendment is required to update DDO21 to align with Council’s recently adopted Crib Point Township Plan Refresh (Mornington Peninsula Shire, 2021) (‘the Plan’) and Western Port Coastal Villages and Surrounding Settlements Strategy (Ethos Urban, 2019) (‘Strategy’).

The Amendment proposes to revise DDO21 ordinance with new design objectives and built form controls consistent with the Plan and Strategy.

The Amendment also proposes to apply DDO21 to C1Z land at 141-149 Disney Street, consistent with the Strategy’s recommendations.

Amendment C271morn and C282morn – submissions

Council has considered all submissions and decided to adopt the amendment with changes during the Planning Services Committee meeting on 18 July 2022. You can view the updated amendment documents in the attachments to the meeting minutes. Council has submitted the amendment to the Minister for Planning for approval.

Once a decision by the Minister for Planning has been made and gazetted, Council will send a formal notice of the Minister’s decision to all submitters as well as any other person or organisation as directed by the Minister.
