The Australian Local Government Women's Association (ALGWA) National Conference brings councillors and officers together from across Australia, to advance female participation in Local Government and put a spotlight on issues facing women in the sector. Delegates draw inspiration from thought-provoking presenters, network with other attendees and benefit from the tremendous peer support offered by ALGWA.

Founded in the early 1950s, ALGWA was established to assist in furthering knowledge and understanding of the function of local government and encourage women to participate in and make a career in local government.
