Introduction

Planning Scheme Amendment C267morn proposes to correct various documents and mapping anomalies and removes redundant sections from the Mornington Peninsula Planning Scheme

Various locations across the entire Shire

The amendment is required to tidy up and ensure smooth operation of the Mornington Peninsula Planning Scheme.

Council has received authorisation from the Minister for Planning on 8th February 2021 to prepare the amendment. Exhibition of the amendment will commence within the next couple of months. During the exhibition period, you will be able to make a formal submission by using any of the following methods:

Completing an online submission form

Completing and emailing a downloaded electronic submission form

Completing and posting a printed submission form

All documents relating to the amendment will be available for public inspection free of charge once exhibition commences via the ‘Planning documents on exhibition’ webpage on the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning’s website.

Next Steps

Council will send a formal notice of the amendment before the exhibition commences to all owners and occupiers of land that may be materially affected by the amendment, as well as to others that may be impacted by the amendment. There will also be advertising in the print media.
