There's been some exciting new projects delivered at Civic Reserve, Mornington such as the athletics facility, soccer fields, and pavilion. It's now time to update the Master Plan to better guide the future use and development of our much-loved reserve to make sure it meets the needs of our growing and diverse community.
Civic Reserve is a 25-hectare park located on the corner of Mornington-Tyabb and Dunns Road in Mornington. The park is well used and much loved by nearby residents, as well as the wider peninsula community.
It is home to MPRG, Mornington Botanical Rose Gardens Inc, Oakhill Gallery and Civic Reserve Recreation Centre with its many user groups and sports clubs.
There’s also a fenced off leash free dog park, playground, skate park, walking paths and two lakes with wild water birds.
The last Master Plan for the site was adopted in 2008 and is now outdated.
We’re working on a new Master Plan for the site, and we’d love to hear from the community about how you use the site, how you rate the facilities and to hear your ideas for improvements to help inform the Plan.
Have your say
We've developed the following survey for you to provide your feedback. Tell us how you use the reserve, if there are any issues and how the site can better meet your needs in the future?
Our community consultation is open between Wednesday 15 February to Wednesday 15 March 2023.
What will happen with your feedback?
This is a first-round community consultation. We’ll use all the community feedback received to develop the draft Civic Reserve Master Plan.
In mid-2023, the Draft Master Plan will be placed on public exhibition for you to review to ensure it is in line with community expectations.
