You were invited to provide your thoughts on Mornington Peninsula Shire’s draft Councillor Expenses, Reimbursements, Resources and Facilities Policy.
The draft Policy outlines the procedures and policy for reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses for Councillors and members of Delegated Committees.
It also provides guidance on:
- provision of resources, facilities and support
- process for reimbursement
- reporting, monitoring, evaluation and review requirements.
The purpose of the Councillor Expenses, Reimbursement Resources and Facilities policy is to ensure it is very clear to Councillors representing the Shire, what expenses they can and can’t be reimbursed for, while on the job.
