We’ve updated the Alcohol Harm Prevention Policy and it is now on public exhibition.

Earlier this year, we asked you to provide insights and local knowledge into alcohol related harm on the Mornington Peninsula.

We received more than 100 contributions that have helped us to update our Alcohol Harm Prevention Policy.

The draft Policy seeks to enable the Mornington Peninsula to be a community where everyone is supported to be happy and well, and our community spaces are safe and inclusive for all. It acknowledges that responsibly supplied and served alcohol can contribute to our local culture, tourism and economy, while also highlighting that alcohol can cause serious harms in our community.

The Policy aims to prevent alcohol harm under four key areas:

  1. Planning and Liquor Licensing
  2. Regulation and Enforcement
  3. Open Space, Community Infrastructure and Events
  4. Advocacy and Service Delivery

We welcome your review and feedback on the updated Policy.
