Have your say on the draft strategic plans

Thank you to everyone who’s shared their ideas and insights so far. With your help, Council has drafted new strategic plans for the Peninsula’s future. The Council Plan and Public Health and Wellbeing Plan have been adopted.

Together with the Financial Plan and Asset Plan, these four strategic plans outline the broad community outcomes and strategic priorities that will guide Council’s work over the coming years, helping us deliver on our shared Community Vision. They set the foundation for the more detailed actions Council makes each year, shaped by what our community has told us matters most.

Like all Victorian councils, we’re balancing rising costs, ageing infrastructure, and increasing responsibilities from other levels of government. At the same time, we know many in our community are feeling the impact of cost-of-living pressures. That’s why we’re focused on delivering the services that matter most while remaining financially sustainable. These plans were developed with these challenges in mind and a clear focus on achieving tangible outcomes for our community.

Council Plan and Public Health and Wellbeing Plan adopted

On 12 August, Council adopted the Council Plan 2025–2029 and the Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2025–2029. Shaped with the input of more than 3,500 community members, these plans will guide Council's work over the next four years and help us continue to bring our shared Community Vision to life. Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback over the last six months.
