Over the past fifteen years, too many people have been killed or seriously injured on roads across the Mornington Peninsula. We are committed to reducing road trauma and improving safety for everyone.
Thanks to strong community feedback during the 2025 to 2026 consultation, we secured funding for several road safety projects through the Federal Black Spot Program, the Safer Local Roads and Streets Program, and the Motorcycle Safety Levy. Your feedback helped shape these successful applications. This is what the yellow and blue pins in the map show.
Thank you to everyone who contributed last year.
To see all of the submissions and what we heard from community on round one
We are now preparing our 2027 to 2028 funding submissions and once again we need your input.
Crash data is important, but it does not always reflect how safe or unsafe a location feels to the people who use it every day. Community feedback helped strengthen the previous round of applications and ensured important sites were prioritised. We want to build on that success.
The map below shows locations proposed for the 2027 to 2028 Black Spot Program, along with sites that have already been funded or are still progressing. Your feedback on the proposed sites will help guide which locations we prioritise for our next submissions.
