Shaping Greater Dromana Plan

Together with the community, we are working to create a vision for the Greater Dromana area that sets the direction for the area’s future.

The Greater Dromana area has grown rapidly over the last decade, and the Shire has many plans in place for the area, as well as Shire-wide strategies that benefit the surrounding areas. The draft Shaping Greater Dromana Plan provides a comprehensive overview of everything that’s happening now and, in the future.

The draft Plan provides a strategic framework for the Greater Dromana area, outlining how various Council-led initiatives contribute to shaping the area's future in the following key areas:

  • environmental protection and climate resilience
  • sustainable transport and movement networks
  • community infrastructure, public open space and recreation
  • local economic development
  • affordable and diverse housing.

Each key area lists Shire current and future initiatives, as well as advocacy efforts that are driving outcomes for the Greater Dromana area.

We now invite the Greater Dromana community to view this plan and give feedback.

We’re also commencing two projects, the Dromana & Arthurs Seat Escarpment Plan and a masterplan for Hillview Community Reserve and the Parkdale Estate (commonly referred to as Pat’s Paddock). We want to hear how the community currently uses the escarpment area, Hillview Community Reserve and Pat's Paddock and how they would like to see these areas used and developed into the future.

We want to find out:

  • What is your vision and aspirations for Greater Dromana
  • Your thoughts on the current actions, upcoming initiatives and advocacy efforts for Greater Dromana
  • What community-led projects/plans we should know about in your area
  • How can we use and develop the Hillview Community Reserve and Parkdale property (Pat’s Paddock) and Arthurs Seat Escarpment with a focus on environmental rehabilitation, community use and recreational opportunities

Thank you for contributing to the future of Greater Dromana.
